Peace in the Storm

The Thunder rolls,
the Lightning strikes..

Tonight I saw something I have never seen before ..

I saw lightning strike across a rainbow.

Beauty and Wildness.

Isn't it funny that the two often go hand in hand ?
I am sitting here in my room ,
The window is wide open and the only sounds are the tapping of my keys and the rush of the rain out the window and on the roof.

BUT ..
I can still see the blue sky peeking through the clouds, smiling at me as if to say " Hey ! I haven't left, you just can't quite see me right now, don't worry , I will be back and the sun will shine just as brightly as ever.."

I find peace as the lightning stikes,
I find peace as the thunder rolls,
I find peace as the rainbow shines,
I find peace in the blue sky twinkling at me.

I find peace in that the God who has His eye on the sparrow, has His eye on me.

Would you all just stop worrying ?
There will be enough,
There will always be enough to at least squeak by .
So STOP worrying .. you will be taken care of,

For me ? Things are tight, I don't know how I will have enough to change my oil or to buy a new set of tires, to pay my cell bill or to do what I need to do..
And you know what ?
I am not worried.
It will come and I will be taken care of.
I am loved .. and

Finding your place

I think that being peaceful is so very important.
If you can't find joy and peace in the little things what is the point?

Find your place of joy,

Find the little things that make you smile..

A windy day,

A wispy cloud,

Splashing through a puddle,

Seeing a plastic bag get caught up in a wind draft from my car and whirl over into the next lane,

Seeing a dove,

These are all things that were today.

They all made me really happy.

Why ?

Because it was peace in the little things.

Psalm 46:10 Be Still and KNOW that I AM GOD..

I was still today .. and I knew...

Joy,

Peace,

Comfort,

Contentment.
